Every once in a while I stumble on information so startling and useful it blows my mind. As most likely my adventure in east asia does not end in China, I searched out "getting a visa to korea and japan" only to find that... US citizens do not need a visa to visit korea and japan... Wow. That is amazing. You can stay in Korea for 30 days, or Japan for 90 days without a visa, very similar to Hong Kong. Our military expeditions throughout the world HAVE provided Americans amazing benefit, but too bad most are stuck in America thinking that there is nowhere interesting in the world other than America, instead of using our advantage to kick the worlds ass in business forever following our military occupations.
So, I can actually visit korea or japan, whichever is next on my list, for quite a long time before I settle. I can find the place I want to go and perhaps even find a job. I can find an apartment this way. While I don't plan on moving any time soon (perhaps years down the road), at least I can visit the countries first and see if I would really enjoy living there. What an advantage. I'd better use it!

very interesting. Maybe I should take this opportunity sometime, maybe before I go to grad school. We could even go somewhere together :P
I don't really have a comment to your recent post, but i want to post a comment so that when i *do* have something relevant i want to contribute, i can!

Isn't that what life is about exploring learning new things and learning from our mistakes and our parents mistakes. And hopefully do this while you are young.
