Progress?
I think I have made quite a bit of progress since my last blog post.
I found Chinese classes for cheap near me that I can take after work. This should help me get on the right path towards my goal of passing the HSK with a perfect score, and actually one of the classes I will be taking is an HSK writing class. The other class I want to take is a business chinese class, which should help me at work. 30RMB / Class, 3 classes / week, 4 weeks/ month 90x4 = 360RMB / month. Not too shabby.
I woke up a little late today (8am) and took an extra long shower in order to gain some energy. I caught a cold so these first few days are going to be hard. I took some medicine, but it left me feeling a little spacey at work. I was decently productive seeing my physical condition, but I still haven't turned in my Probation period summary.
I can't seem to break my caffeine addiction, which is mostly a hook on Soda. I don't have to drink coffee, thankfully, but I seem to have at least one coke per day, which is never as satisfying to my thirst and body needs as it is to my taste buds.
I bought a book about what makes a good leader and CEO, but the writing isn't very good. I'll drudge through it as the content is pretty interesting and I'm trying to build a habit of reading to replace my video game habit when I can't find something else to do. The "5 characteristics of successful CEO / leaders" seems to be a little flawed and disorganized and already in the first chapter the author is reaching to fill these 5 characteristics through anecdotes, rather than coming to conclusions AFTER the anecdotes.
My #1 focus this week should be my health, meaning getting enough rest and watching what I eat. Normally when I'm sick I just take medicine and hope the sickness goes away, but this time around I'm going to try to eat more fruits, drink more soups, and stay away from too much oil / sugar / fat / meats. A quick recover is very important right now, as I have a soccer tournament in a few days, possibly an evaluation meeting as well, and all of this personal development to get to!
As I wasn't very productive at all after work, woke up late, and drank 2 cokes, I'll give myself a C for the day. Self-Discipline needs time to build it seems. I'll take it days and weeks at a time.
Good night.
